{indie}pendent books was formed in 2009 to not only help discover new authors, but to give them a more focused platform for selling their work to readers who are hungry for something new. All books featured on the site have been pre-selected so only the best of the indie community is showcased. At {indie}pendent books, the focus is not on filling our shelves with as many books as possible, but about making it easy for readers to find great books from authors they may not have experienced before. We are also constantly on the lookout for new authors and books to keep the selection fresh, so please check back often.

Lately, we have been noticing a disturbing trend. The same authors are being featured over and over in bookstores across the world. What about that rare talent, that has much more to offer, but doesn't have the funds to market themselves? We are here to help that talent. We want to discover and encourage writers to pursue their dreams and give them the platform to succeed. On top of discovering and encouraging new talent, we vow to bring back the art of purchasing and receiving books. All of our books will arrive to you gift-wrapped to help with the feeling of holding that talent in your hand. Who says books have to arrive thrown in a cardboard box with no intimacy?
